SEATOUN BOWLING CLUB
SUCCESSFUL SMOKE CONCERT.
Members of the Seatoun Bowling Club held an enjoyable smoke, concert in the Masonic Hall on Saturday night, the object being to have a reunion and raise the nucleus of a fund for tbe erection of a new two-storied pavilion, equipped with a locker-room, social hall, and bil-' Hard room. Mr. S. M. ■ Stone, president, occupied the chair. The only toasts honoured were "The King" and "Visiting Bowlers," the latter being proposed by Mr. B. F. Gardiner, and suitably responded to by Mr. Frank Meadowcroft (president of the Wellington Centre). Mr. Stone announced that it had been intended to present all the prizes won during the season, but as only one of the club contests had been completed there could be only one presentation. This was to Mr. Harold Boon, who had won the junior singles. His prize was an electro-plated entree dish. Among those present were Mr. S. Potter (acting-presidant of the Wellington Club), and several; representatives of other clubs. Mr. H. E. Wilson played the piano and sang several songs. Messrs. M'Girr, junior, and Thomas Coltman also sang,' and Mr. Edwards contributed gome' lightning , sketches, which were sold in the room for the benefit of the pavilion fund, and realised good prices.
