OPERA HOUSE FATALITY
Miss Phyllis Porter, the young" actress who was severely burned at the Grand Opera House on Thursday night, succumbed to her injuries at the Hospital last evening. Miss Porter, who though only 19 years of age, had been appearing in the Williamson productions for the.past twelve years, was a member of the "Peep Show" company. The accident which caused her death is supposed to have been due to the tinsil decorations of her dress making contact with soms electrical fittings and causing a short circuit. • An inquest will be held to-, morrow morning. The deecased we* a niece of Mr. Jay Porter, stage manager of His Majesty's Theatre, Wellington.
