INTERCESSORY SERVICE
There was a good attendance at ths weekly intercessory service, which was held in the Concert Chamber at midday. The Rev. A. T. Thompson, secretary of the British and Foreign Bible Society, presided. Prayer was offered by the Rev. W. Maurice Holland, Mr. J. Rumgay, and Mr. J. Priestly. The Scripture portions were Deuteronomy, 6th chapter, read by the chairman, Psalm 119, verses 1 to 24, by Mr. D. A. Ewen, and 2nd Peter, Ist chapter, by Mr. C. 3. Lovatt. The service, which concluded by the singing of the National Anthem, included several wellknown hymns, which were sung to tho accompaniment of Mr. J. Mann, at the piano.
