PALMERSTON N., This Day. Mr. F. J. Nathan and Mr. S. R. Lancaster are nominated for the Mayoralty. For thel nine seats on the council, sixteen candidates were nominated.
) HAMILTON, This Day. Mr. J. R. Fow, the sitting Mayor, was the only nomination for the Mayoralty. There are twenty-eight nominations for the counciilorships.
DANNEVIRKE, This Day. Keen interest is being token in the municipal elections. Three nominations were received for the Mayoralty. Mr. G. J. Anderson (retiring Mayor), Mr. A. J. O. Runcijnan, and Mr. W. Dobson. For nine seats on the council there are nineteen candidates; for two seats on the Waipawa Hospital Board there are three candidates, and a like number for three seats on the Dannevirke Power Board.

cided to run a candidate for the Christchurch'Mayoralty, and Mr. D. G. Sullivan, M.P., has 1 been selected for nomination. NELSON, This Day. For the Mayoralty Mr. !W. Lock was returned unopposed. • MASTERTON, This Day. Mr. O. Pragnell was re-elected Mayor unopposed. There are ten nominations for eight ■ seats on the South Ward of the Borough I Council. Mr. H, E. Pither and Mr. G. Jordan were elected unopposed to represent the North Ward on the council. WOODVILLE, This Day. Mr. H. P. Home was re-elected Mayor unopposed. There are ten nominations for nine seats on the council. AUCKLAND, This Day. Mr. J. H. Ounson was re-elected Mayor unopposed. DUNEDIN, This Day. There are three candidates for the City Mayoralty — Councillors Tapley, Larnach, and Hay ward. There was no Labour nominee. Twenty-five have been nominated for the twelve councillors' seats; of these six are Laßouf candl3- ---| ates. One woman, Mrs. L'eec'fi, stands as an independent.
