Runcijnan, and Mr. W. Dobson. For nine seats on the council there are nineteen candidates; for two seats on the Waipawa Hospital Board there are three candidates, and a like number for three seats on the Dannevirke Power Board.

There are three candidates for the City Mayoralty — Councillors Tapley, Larnach, and Hay ward. There was no Labour nominee.
