NO SECONDER FOR LEAGUE,
NEW YOEK, 13th April.' The Women's Convention at Dcs Moines first voted down, then reconsidered, and finally passed, a resolution pledging their support to President Harding's proposal for the United States' participation in the World Court, believing this to bo the first step towards the outlawry of war. The, resolution urged the Government to take further steps to eliminate the causes of war by -association with other nations for the maintenance of abiding peace. A motion endorsing the League of Nations failed to find a seconder.
