LECTURE AT TOWN HALL

There was a large attendance at tla Town .'Hall, bit evening, when Mr. 51. _\. Howlett, of New York, gave a lecture entitled "Satan's Empire Sailing." The lecture was given under the auspices of the International Bible Students' Association. The _ lecturer declared that tfio world was living in momentous times— the period Scripturally designed for tli« end of the world—and that the present troubles were specifically due to the fact that the great and rightful King was taking unto Himself His great poweiy and was beginning to reign. It was because the, association. had a message o* comfort that the meeting was being held. Quoting freely from the- Bible throughout hia discourse, Mr. Howlett spoke ol the Gentile age, with its greed, its. setlishneaa,! and its false standards./havinjr logically come to an end, and of Urn Jewish nation having once more put forth its tender leaves of national vitality, th« relief of Jerusalem from the.heel of the Turk being, it,was maintained, according to Biblical prophecy, it was in 1914, said the lecturer; that the deathknell was struck.
