NEWTOWN PAST AND PRESENT,
Past and present members of the Newtown . Bowling Club played a ma.toh on Saturday, six rinks beinjj engaged. The past members won by 137 to 113. The results are as follow:—Brown (sub.), Roe, Bland, and Barnes, 19; Gyles, Grensid"e. Martin, and Levestam. 19; M. Smith, Webb, Noble, J. Roberts, 14; Green, Da-vis, F. Robbins, and Laughton, 24. Parkinson. Green, P. Roberts, and M'Whannell, 21; Benjre. Guise, Danks and Baker. 18. Hobbs, Bennett, Hendry, and Bailey. 26; Powell, Warwickfi Leahy and Scott, 16. S. Luke, Chittey. Maiming, and Laws, 34; Swenson, Ferguson, W. Robbins, and J. Sexton, 15. Shore, Phillips (sub.), M'Kenzie, and Topp, 23; Marshall, Swiney, Wylie, and Brackenridae. 21. The games were pkyed under the Huddart-Parker senior cup rules, whereby each member of the rink Slled the postion of lead, No. 2, No. 3, and skip, durinc different stages of the game. This appeared to give general satisfaction.
