A BUSINESS DEAL
JUDGMENT DELIVERED.
Judgment was delivered by Mr. Justice Chapman in the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon in a oase in whioh_ tho Cycle and Motor Supplies, Limited, claimed a sum. of £1258 5s 9d from one David Poroival Fisher in respeot of certain dealings between them. A debt of £3148 7e 7d was admitted to bo owing by the dofendant to the. company, but against this were credits for goods purchased and delivered amounting to £1890 Is lOd. The main question on the statement of olaim was the price at which the plaintiff ought to credit the defendant against the debt for tho goods supplied in pu»3uanoe of oontraot. Alter reviewing the evidenoe adduced at considerable length, his Honour expressed the opinion that, in _ the oiroumstances, the defendant was entitled to recover substantial damages, whioh he assessed at £850.
