HUNT FOR DE VALERA

TROOPS SCOURING MOUNTAINS
DESPERATE REBEL DAN BREEN.

Free State troops, under General Prout, are scouring, the mountains, to which de Valera., Dan Breen, and! other rebel leaders escaped, when Lynch was captured. The "Daily Express's" correspondent at Belfast states that de Valera is attempting to reach Cork. It is believed that he has assumed a disguise. His escape hitherto has been due to skill in making-up. He escaped after the fail of the Four Courts in the garments of a hearse driver. Dan Breen is one of the worst and most desperate sgbel leaders. He alwayt carries two revolvers and declares that he will never be taken alive.
