The death is announced of William Collins, a Freefchought lecturer, who was formerly a member of Parliament for Christchurch, New Zealand. „
[William Whitehouse Collins was first elected one of three representatives for the City of Christchurch in 1893. He •was again elected in 1899, and sat until 1902. His fair, curly , head . -was well known in Christchurch twenty-five years ago, when he lectured each Sunday evening in the Tuam Street Hall, now Fuller's Opera House, on Freethought subjects.] ■
