Borough, was charged that between .4th "April and 7th April, at Mas-terton,-he received the sunr of £54 108 5d on terms requiring him to account for the same,.to.'the council, and omitted to do soi thereby committing theft. Accused, who was arrested-in Christchurch yesterday, was remanded in custody, to appear at 'Masterton on Tuesday.'
