LABOUR CANDIDATES

. Mt. F. C. Howell, assistant secretary of the Federated: Seamen's Union, has withdrawn from the list of the Labour Party's candidates for the Harbour Board, and Mr. Charles Hobbs, of the Tramwaymen's Union, has been appointed to fill the vacancy. Mrs. C M'Grath, who was selected as a liabour candidate for the Hospital Board, has withdrawn, and the Labour Eepresentation Committee has decided to fipfht the Hospital Board, election with only thirteen candidates. Messrs. W. Bromley. A. W. Crockery, and R. M'Ke.en, M.P., delivered openair addresses at the corner of Gliuznee and Cuba streets during the 'lunch hour to-day. They covered the various principles for which Labour is .contesting ihe local body elections, and explained the planks ia the Labour Party's platform.
