There is censurable perturbation in Allied, and particularly French, circles over Angora's acceptance of the Chester agreement, which embraces many kinds of undertakings' in-'and ' around Armenia, covering also Adana.
These imply the suppression of railway concessions to France on the eve of war against a loan of a milliard of francs, of which lialf a million was actually paid.'■■■ It is" suggested in some quarters that the Turks axe insincere, aiminsr at the resumption of freedo_m of action toward the French and British financial groups.
