THE KAIKOURA FIRE
DAMAGE NOT EXPECTED TO BE SERIOUS. (BI TELEOnAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, 11th' April. The discharging of cargo, from the Kaikoura's No. 4 hold continues. It has now been found that the damage is not so extensive as was at first thought. The fire originated in tho starboard aftercorner of the hold, and spread to the top. The indications' are that approximately one third of the cargo is damaged. The vessel will lave for Opua on Tuesday.
