I LOCAL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE THE FEBGUSON CASE. The Management Commfttee of the Wellington Football Association met last evening at the Y.M.C.A. rooms. Mr. A. E. Wells presided, and there were ilso present: Messrs. C. Webb, P. Banks, C. Webster, G. F. Aers, H. Uversage, W. Duncan, A. Williams, and ■3. Babin. The. committee considered the quesion of appointing a delegate to the i.ppointment Board of the Beferees' As.ociation, and decided that owing to she multifarious duties of' each member jf the committee it would be impossible to make such an appointment this year. The committee agreed to consider any further suggestion made by the BeferAssociation. 'A request was forwarded by the Watarside Football Club that the committee should receive a deputation to discuss the matter of the reinstatement of D. B'erguson, who was suspended last season for a period of two yegrs. The chairman said he did not think the aslociation. could discuss the matter in i round-the-table fashion; the club hould put their request in writing, and hen augment their statements by demtation later. Further, the application hojild come from Ferguson himself, it was decided to re,ply to the club to the effect that the application should be made in writing by the player con■erned. The resignation of Mr. J. Howitt as a member of the conimittee was accepted with regret. It was' reported that the .vacancy would be filled at a meeting to be held on 18th April, nominations to close on 16th April. It was decided to make a donation of £3 3s towards the funds of the Wellington Eqferees' Association. A suggestion was made by the Lower Hutt Borough Council that,the association should consider the leasing of a section of four acres on the Western Hutt road. The matter was held over for consideration until the 1' chairman had inspected the area mentioned. Messrs.. Wells and Duncan were appointed to represent the association at the. meeting to be held in. the Town Hall on Monday next to consider questions in connection with the Wellington War Memorial. The secretary reported that ther« would be 24 grounds available for matches this season.
