ALLEGED LIBEL
VERDICT FOR "SMITH'S WEEKLY."

SYDNEY, This Day. The jury returned a verdict for defendante last night in the libel action in which 'Emanuel Myerson claimed £10,000 damages from "Smith's Weakly" for alleged libel. A stay of proceedings has been granted.
[A message received on 23rd March stated that on that date tho case had lasted for 23 days, the jury commencing at 10s 6d per day and having- risen to £5 ss.]
