The New Zealand Cricket Council asked the ■ ■ Otago Association to express an opinion concerning the council's action in allowing the Otago-Wellington match for the Plunket Shield to tie abandoned, and the association decided to reply that it considered the council acted wisely ml the circumstances, hut was- of opinion that the rules governing the Plunket Shield competitions should be revisedl, so that provision be made for such contingencies as arose.
