THE FAMOUS DIGGERS.

The final performance of their current j programme was given at the Grand [ Opera House by the Famous Diggers last night. To-night.there will be a complete . change, when a racy, revue,' "Tip Top," will be produced. -Its drawing ability is considerably augmented by a beauty chorus and a ballet. "Moonlight' is one of the features to be presented, the effects being obtained by the use of numbers of flashing mirrors. Arabian scenes, cabaret scenes, fanoy dresses, and uproarious comedy will also be in evidence. There is to be a comedydrama written by Stan. Lawson, with a climax as dramatic as it is certainly unexpected. _ The chief actor in it ie Mr. Joe Valli. As a humourist he ranks with the highest, each succeeding performance serving only to enhance an already great reputation. He is ably assisted, by Messrs. Gus Dawson and Jimmy Norton, and Miss Eily Dalgleish. There are also to*be had in abundance the latest and brightest songs, greatly added foTby the presence of the "Suiperb Six," gorgeous -scenes, clever dancing, burlesques, and farces. In "Hail, Smiling Morn," Joe Vali is said to be irresistible, piling humour on humour. The absurdity, "Petrol Cocktails," cannot fail to make a hit because of its splendid burlesque on unionism. , The Scottish comedy duet is a number distinctly above the average of revue companies. Every' item which is being produced to-night is new to the Wellington public.
