SILVER REEL, COMPETITION.
Six teams competed for the Royal' Lifesaving Society's silver reel arid pennant for the champioh team at Lyall Bay' on Saturday afternoon. The first three were only three points apart. Judges were Messrs. J. Duffy, R. Burns, and L. Salek. The competition resulted: — Lyall Bay "B" (C. Claridge, support; F. Mollier, beltman; L. Begg, second linesman; E. Beere, reolman; E. Bakton, first linesman; A. Watts, third linesman; U. Shannon, patient; E. Evans, captain), 93 points, 1. Maranui "B" (E. G. L. Patterson, support; L. Turner, beltman; G. Blackthorn, second linesman; F. V. Rankine, reelman: A. R. Marshall, first linesman; S. -J. Hammond, third linesman; W. S. Kirk, patient; K. Croft, captain), 91 points,- 2. Island Bay, 90 points, 3; Lyall Bay "A," 89 points, 4; Maranui "X,"- 85 points, 5; Worser Bay, 82 points, 6.
