TUO TORA LODGE.
The second annual picnic of the Tua Tora Lpdge, R.A.0.8., held on the Hutt Park grounds at- the week-end w_s largely attended. A lengthy programme of sports events was disposed of, special interest being taken in the Tua Tora Handicap of 220 yards, in which there were 35 starters, the placed men being Leonard, Domb, and Gage. The following are the winners of other events:-— Girls, 5 to 7 years, Murphy 1, Sharp 2; boys, 5 to 7 years, M'Hride 1, Leonard 2; single ladies' race, Williams 1, Black 2; bald-headed buff's race, Domb 1, King 2; married ladies' race, Rodda 1, Ansell 2,; girls, 7 to 10 years, Rodda 1, dements 2; boys, 7 to 10 years, Salt 1, Ansell 2; girls, 14 to 18 years, Julian, 1, Rawlins 2; youths, 14 to 18 years, Tyson 1, Tyson 2; .tiny-tot girls, Johnson J, Martin 2; tiny-tot boys, Parker 1, King 2; men's race, over 50 years, William^ 1, -Bntterfield 2; Tua Tora handicap, 100 yards, Domb 1, Gage 2; Tua Tora handicap, 125 yards, Dick Hunter 1, T. Brace 2; girls' race, 10 to 14 years, Norman 1, Dinsdale %j boys' race, 10 to 14 years, Black 1, Tyson 2; married women's race, Mrs. Rodda; single women's race, Miss M'Elwain; baby show, be3t girl, Betty Woods; best boy, K. Rawlins ; children of Tua Tora members only, K. Rawlins 1, Teddy King 2.' The tug-of-war resulted in a draw.
