MULCAHY'S FIRMNESS
FIERCE FIGHT IN LIMERICK,

LONDON, 30th January.
"The Times" Dublin correspondent states that the Dublin Corporation is reconsidering its decision to nay half wages to- its employees in military custody. General Muleahy has intimated that, if the decision is carried out, the persons responsible will be arrested. Details of a fierce week-end engagement at Limerick show that two separate parties of Free State troops were ambushed hy a hundred Republicans armed with machine and Lewis guns. Firing lasted for five hours. The body of a Free State officer, killed in the fight, was stripped naked and left lying by the roadside.
