The proposals to condense^ the Commandments and previse the Prayer Book induced a' specially large attendance at the opening meeting of the Church of England National Assembly. The Primate announced that the revision could not be discussed till* it had been re-, ferred to the separate sitting houses of bishops and clergy and laity. .
