MANUKA ARRIVES FROM SYDNEY.
The Union Company's steamer Manuka arrived in the stream at Wellington atl.Bo a.nu to-day from Sydney, and berthed shortly-after 9 o'clock at No. 6, Queen's Wharf. The Manuka cleared Sydney Heads at 10.30 a.m. oil the 25th January, and experienced strong northerly winds and a heavy head sea till the. 27th January, when the weather moderated, and westerly winds and a smooth sea were encountered for the remainder of the trip. Owing to the bad weather met with during the early part of the voyage,- the vesßel w»s delayed about 10 hours. the Mauuka brought the following passengers :—Saloon : Misses Meredith, Ery, Button, McClatchie, Scott, Parker, Caldwell, Luke, M. Included in the cargo for Wellington are 292 cases of fruit and transhipments from the Ekenarin, Victoria, Montoro, Indus Maru, Persic, Orsova, Kanowaa, Eiverina, and Katoomba. ■
The, Manuka sails on Friday on the return trip to Sydney.
PORT DARWIN POSTPONED. The departure of the C. and I), liner Port Darwin from Wellington for London, via Montevideo, has been postponed until rood m Thursday. ■ ■-. CARGO FROM LONDON. The C. and D. Line advises that the Port Caroline sailed from London on .the 27th January with cargo for Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Timhru. The vessel is due at Ljtteltou on the Sth March. After discharge she will load on the New Zealand coast for Home. • ... MAHANA AT SUVA. The Shaw-Savill liner Mahana arrived at Suva yesterday morning from London, m route to Auckland. After discharging at Levuka the Mahana is to proceed to Auck- , land, where she is due on the 7th February. She has cargo for discharge at Auckland and Lyttelton. ' THE KUAPEHU.' The' Buapehu, loading for London to the agency of the Federal Line, was due at Glsborne to-day. The vessel will later load at Napier, Lyttelton, apd BluU, and will then come to Wellington to complete her cargo. She is to sail from here on the 17th February-for Southampton. BY TELEGKAPH.
