BETWEEN SHIP AND WHARF
An elderly women, Mrs. Gilbertson, widow of Captain Gilbertson, formerly well-known in the coastal service, fell into the harbour, about 6.40 o'clock last evening, between the coastal vessel Nikau and Berth No. 10, Queen's Wharf. In falling, Mrs. Gilnertson struck herself on the wharf 'and sustained injuries to the head. A young man, Mr. Spencer Stratton, who was about to leave for Nelson, witnessed the accident and jumpinc down on the stringers i:nder the wharf, supported. Mrs. Gilbertson until a rope was lowered. The injured woman was admitted to the Hospital at 7.25 p.m., and to-day is reported to be progressing favourably.
