FOR THREE KINGS
RADIO DIRECTION-FINDER.
It seems (jutts probable now that the radio direction-finder will take the place of the proposed new light on the Three Kings. Experts from the Marine Depa.rtment and the Post and Telegraph Department are at present carrying but experiments at the islands, and the results so far have been entirely satisfac tory, judging by a radio message received yesterday afternoon by the Minister of Marine (the Hon. G-.. J. Anderson). The message was as follows:—"It may be safely assumed thai the claims which have been made regarding the radio direction-finder as an aid to navigation have been fully supported by the results. This was particularly noticeable during foggy conditions, which prevailed for a time during the tests, but did not affect the observations made on the radio beacon station temporarily established on the Great King."
