MIRAMAR TENNIS CLUB
The Miramar South School Tennis Club's courts were officially opened by Mr. R. M.P., chairman of the School Committee and president of the new tlub, on Saturday afternoon. There was a large attendance,. and a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon was spent. The official set consisted of Miss M. East- (runner-up for . the New Zealand girls' championship _at Hastings), Miss Simpkin '(Otago University' Blue), Mr. Black (the well-known Dunedin player), and Mr. M'lnnes "(well-known in Wellington, tennis circles). Results of the various sets played are as under:— . Official set.—Miss M." East and . M'Innes beat Miss SimpkhiJ and Black, 6-4. Misses Bell beat Miss Hoare and Wicks, 7-4. .
