FOUND DROWNED
The inquest concerning the death ol an elderly man -named Charles Rush, ■whose body was recovered from the harbour on Saturday, was conducted by the Corner, Mr. W. G. Riddel], S.M., at the Magistrate's Court, this ' morning. Sei'-' geant Whitehouse appeared for the police. , • Evidence of identificatioij was given by Percy Charles Edwards, who said that he understood the deceased had a wife in England.' He had |jeen out of employment for some time, and this seemed to worry him. .Albert Henry M'Fadden, a tram conductor, who had noticed the body floating off the Pipitea Wharf, gave evidence as to its recovery by Constable Carraody. Tlvj finding of the Coroner was that the deceased was "found drowned." The deceased had seem worried through not being- able to obtain employment, but there was no evidence !to show that he nad contemplated suicide.
