QUEEN'S THEATRE.
In "The Golden Gift," which, is now showing at the Queen's Theatre, Alice Lake gives one of the .most powerful dramatic portrayals of her screen career. The story is one which holds the audience throughout. It pictures the adventures of a young 1 singer who, deserted by her husband, places her child with strangers, and then through her singing in a border cafe starts on a career which carries her to grand opera. With, success assured the child re-enters her- life and the plans so carefully made are unexpectedly changed. The supporting production is "The Man Hunter," and: there ar« the usual topicals-, etc.
