PARAMOUNT AND AETCRAFT.

The principal feature at the Paramount and Artcraft Theatres is ''West of Chicago," with Charles Jones in the leading role, supported by wineome Benee Andoree. This photoplay is filled with thrills. The action takes place near the Mexican border. Startling scenes follow each other in rapid succession. A powerful sweep of dramatic strength- carries the mind of the spectator right along to the end. Romance is deftly woven in the story, and there are. many touches of comedy. The second feature, " Without Fear," starring Pearl White, is the romance of a society hothouse rose and a mushroom millionaire—the story of a democratic girl who defies the barriers of her aristocratic environment. Suitable music 1 is played at both theatres. Big preparations ar-e being made, for the screening at the Paramount and Artcraft Theatres next Friday of the "Universal" picture, "Foolish Wives.", The colourful , settings, the activities, and the noted pleasure resort are 'merely backgrounds for the impelling story of "Count" Sergius Karamzin, renegade Russian debonair adventurer, and consummate villain. There are powerful scenes throughout the picture, and in the end no one is sorry when the vicious "Count" comes to a .bad end. Special music scores are being arranged at both theatres, and it is fully anticipated that the screening will prove a huge success. . .
