CHRISTCHURCH; 26th January. The oat market is quiet. A few inquiries ha,ve been received for Gartens, which are bringing 2s 9d to 3s per bnshel on trucks at country stations. Algerians are in demand, but few sellers have been attracted by offers of 3s per bushel on'trucks.
The wheat market is slack and there is little barley available, and no sale's are reported. i The wet weather has had a detrimental effect on harvesting operations.
