HAPPY REFERENCE TO FUTURE WIFE. '
(Received 27th January, 2 p.m.) LONDON, 26th January.' The Duke of York had an enthusiastic welcome at Glasgow, where the Freedom of the City was confessed on him.
The Lord Provost expressed Scotland's delight that the Duke had selected a Scottish lady as his bride. The Duke, in replying, said that it was peculiarly happy that his visit to accept the Freedom' should be the first after he had the wisdom and. foresight and good fortune to persuade a Scottish lady to share his life.
