FRENCH COMMUNIST AT FRANKFORT.
(UNITED FHESS ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT.)
(RETJTER'S TELEGRAM.)
(Received 11th January, 2 p.m.)
BERLIN, 10th January. Germany has recalled her Ambassadors at Paris and Brussels.
According to the "Cologne Gazette," Marcel Cachin was present at the meeting of the Communists at Frankfurt, with the object of protesting against the occupation of the Ruhr. Cachin is alleged to have declared that the French workers shared in the indignation of the German proletariat at the contemplated occupation. , The attitude of the Germane in the British area is venomously anti-French. A large, irresponsible section of the population favours active resistance. The wildest rumours are afloat. Fears are expressed lest the British and American troops should be withdrawn.
