TO-DAY'S PROGRAMME
A purely formal meeting of the council took place this afternoon, and after a brief sitting the delegates adjourned for afternoon tea at the Kelburn Kiosk. This evening the first -public lecture will be delivered by the pre-sident-elect, Mr. G. H. Knibbs.
The presidential address.in the section of orthnology will be given by Captain Pipp-Eivers to-morrow morning at 10.30 o'clock, instead of on Saturday as advertised. In the afternoon, at 2 o'clock, Mr. H. D. Skinner, of Otago University, will give a paper on " The Moa Hunters of Canterbury and Otago," which will be followed with a paper by Dr. A. K. Newman, of Wellington, on "Original Inhabitants of New Zealand."
