. TEj annual Catholic picnic will be held this year at Karon Park. The committee responsible for tlm arrangement has done everything possible to make the picnic attractive and enjoyable. An excellent programme of sports for young and old has been prepared r and an inter-pariah tug-of-war tournament for. the challenge cup which is ap present held by Island Bay. A feature is being made, of the dancing competition . and baby show, for which large entries are expected. , Two courts have been provided, for .tennis players, and refresh-, ments will be provided at town prices at the kiosk. Other attractions will.be sideshows, games for the young, and other items to ensure an enjoyable day's outing.. A special ten minutes tram service from Courtena^ place will be
