SYDNEY, This Day. The death is announced of Mrs. Ellis Rowan, bird and flower painter.
[Mrs. Rowan was well known for her wonderful work in painting the flora and avifauna of Australia, particularly of Northern Queensland.]

For the Victorian conversion loan, under which holders of £3,000.000 of 4 per cent, stock were offered an equal amount in 5 per cent, stock, repayable 1935-45/ the applications totalled about 1,050,000. The London, Westminster, and Counties Bank provides the funds at 3£ per cent., and will pay the holders the unconverted balance.
