ANNIVERSARY SERVICES

The anniversary services of the Kent Tea-race ' Presbyterian Church was held last Sunday, when the preachers were the Revs. J. T. Wacky, J. Lansdowne, and W. Maurice Holland, of the Congregational Church. All the services were well attended and ably conducted. The anniversary social was held on Tuesday evening. An excellent programme of songs, recitations, and speeches was enjoyed. Songs were given by Miss Power, Mr. J. Connell, Miss Adams, Miss Godier; recitations by Mr. Thomson and Mr. Tasker, a duologue by Miss Halliday and Mr. Stanley. Airth, and sketches by Mr. Edwards. "Land of Hope and Glory" was rendered by the choir, Mr. H. Godier being the accompanist. Interesting and humorous speeches were contributed by the chairman (the Rev. J. Baird), and the Revs. J. T. Macky, Dr. J. KenneSy Elliott, W. M. Holland, F. E. Harry (Baptist.) Mr. R. Miller proposed a vote of thinks to the performers and .to the ladies who provided tea at the interval. The National Anthem brought to a close a very pleasantand enjoyable evening.
