Stirrai writes, pointing oat that Mr. W. Ormrod was the referee who reported the'team and who ordered off the. player in question. Mr. Stirrat was mentioned in the report of the case as being the referee. The Swifts junior team received a sharp rap over the knuckles' last Wednesday evening, following the consideration by the W.F.A. of the case of Scambury, an unregistered player, who was ordered off the 1 field, during the Swifts-Diamonds junior match recently. The report of the referee, Mr. D. Stirratt, called attention to the very unsatisfactory conduct of several members of the team, and'a letter was also received from a spectator bearing upon the same point. The chairman recalled that the team had given trouble in the past, and suggested" that the time had come for the association to take action. After sotrte discussion, it was 7 decided that the junior team should be suspended for the remainder of the season. No less than seven thousand' people watched the replayed final betweenNorth Shoro and Philomel for the Auckland championship. The match ended in another drawn game, one goal each. The previous Saturday, before a crowd of five thoiiband, the teams drew, scoring two goals each.
