The hemp market is rather' qujet, but prices »r» firm. For shipments to London or Amerioa, good fair grade is worth £28 per 'ton; high fair, *2<>» low ot4. Production in the Manaw&tu bis been somewhat interfered with during the p««t few days on account of floods following ho&vy local rains. As tjic weather b ja ifaproving, the output should again reach the normal in the course of a few d»yi.
