Messrs.- Abraham and Williams, Ltd., and Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., report Johnsonville sales on Tuesday : "A particularly good quality yarding of all classes of stock came forward, including some heavy wethers and extra good bollocks. Sheep sold freely at an advance on last week's quotations; but the beef market was dnll and lifeless, realising 18s per 1001b and under. A fair quality yarding of vealers sold well. We •quote best wethers 29s 9d to 30s lOd, extra heavy; 36s to 38s, good 25s 6d, 25s 9d, 26s 6d, to 28s 6d. Best ewes 19s 3d, 20s 6d, to 21s; lambs, good, 20s, 225, 24s 6d; stores, 12s 6d to 14s 6d. Beef: Best ox £8, good £6 10s, to £6 15s, medium £5 to £6; best cows, £5 2s 6d to £5 ss, good £4 10s to £4 15s, light £3 to £3 10s; vealers, 30s, 325, 365, 395, to' £2 95."
