CHRISTCHURCH, 12th July. . :At the Addi&gton market to-day, there was a big yarding of fat sheep, but an average one'of fat cattle, and a small one of store sheep. Both'beef and mutton were easier than last week. A few good lambs sold freely. '■■

Store Sheep.—A very small yartling and only one decent line ■of ewes. There were more hoggets than usual, which sold strongly. A good clearance was made of all sections sent forward. Wether hoggets: made 16s 3d to 17s 3d; ordinary, 13s 6d, to 14s lid; halfbred, 15s to 15s sd; good mixed sex halfbred hoggets, 18s 3d; good, cross ewe hoggets, 19s 7d to 20s; inferior halfbred ewe hoggets, 18s 6d; : cull ewe hoggetg, 15s 9d; forward 4, 6, and 8-tooth ;wethers, 19s 4d .to 20s lOd; 6 and-8-tooth halfbred wethers, 18s Sd; 2-tooth wethers, :16s to 16s '.8d ; aged ewes in lamb, 9s 9d to 12s 6d; failinganouthed ewes, 12s 3d to 14s 6d.

Fat Lambs.—A veryr'small yarding, comprising ,330. head, the balk, being of mediocre quality. One export buyer operated. Good lambs sold freely, the price being from 7d to 7id. Fat Sheep.—A big yarding of eleven races, the proportion of prima mutton being smaller than last week. Valaes all round, except for prime heavy ewes, were back abcrat 2s per head. There were some passings. Extra prime wethers made 26s 6d ,to ,32a 9d; prime, 22s'9d to 265; medium, 20s to 22s 6d; light, 17s 6d to 19s 9d. Extra prime ewes made 245, to 26s 9d; prime, 18s 3d to 23s 6d; 14s 6d to 18s; light, i2s to 14s; old,' 10s 3d tolls 9d. Fat Cattle.—A yarding of 345 head, compared with 412 last: week". The quamy was. not so good, and values were back, especially those for medium and light beef. Extra prime steers made £16 12s 6d; prime, £11 6s to £13 10s; medium, £7 15s to £10 12s 6d; "light, £4 10s to £7 10s; extra prime heifers, £10 155.; prime, £6 10s to £8 10s; light and ordinary, £4 7s 6d to £6. Extra prime cows, £9 17s 6d;, prime, £5 10s to £7 12s 6d.

Vealers.—Good 6tnff sold freely' at late rates. Runners made £5; good vealers, £3 5a to £4 ss; medium, £2 5s to £3.

Store Cattle!— Good class steers sold well, but there was little demand , for medium 6tuff. Two to 2|-year steers made £3 15s; yearling, £2 ss; medium to good cowsi, £2 to £2 11s.

Dairy Cattle.—Prices were down on last week's < rates. Extra good third calvere, £13 to £17; good third calvers, £9 to £10 15s; medium, £7^o £8 15s; ordinary springing cows, £4 to £6 10s; good springing heifers, '£8 10a to £12 10s • medium lieifera, £4 to £5 10s.

Fat Pigs.—Prices for pork and bacon declined. Choppers made £4 to £6 15s; light baconers, £3 to £3 10s; heavy, £3 15s to £4; extra heavy, £4 12s (average price per lb, 6d); light porkers, 38s to 425; heavy, 48s to 57s 6d (average price per 18, 7d to 7£d). "

Store Pigs.—ln sympathy with fat pigs, prices declined. Medium stores, 22s to 336; small, 18s to 21a; weaners, 7s to 16a.
