CANDIDATES FOR CELLS
PROSECUTION OF MINERS. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPTRIOHT.) (Received July 12, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY. This Day. The secretary of the Miners' Lodge has been fined £5 or a month's imprisonment, for absenting himself from work without cause on 19th June. ' He elected to serve the sentence. It is understood that over a thousand miners to be prosecuted on similar charges intend also to serve their sentences.
