SYDNEY, This Day. • A new Island mail contract, arranged by the Commonwealth and Bums, Philp, and Co., provides for improved services in the Pacific. The run to the New Hebrides has been extended to embrace other parts ofvthe group., There are to be three-weekly services to the Solomons, Papua, and Rabaul, and a five-weekly direct service to Rabaul, and also to the New Hebrides.
