TWO FIRES
Two calls were received by the Fire Brigade this morning. The first, at 3.31, was.to No. 68, Dixon-street,'a two-story I building containing shop, offices, and confectionery factory. An outbreak had occurred in an office upstairs occupied by C.'Walters. The upper floor was ' badly damaged by fire and water, and the lower portion of the building suffered through. heat and water. The building was insured in the Standard Office for £1000, and the. contents in various offices for £3200. Several tenants occupied ;the upper ffbdr. j The second call, at 7.34, was to'premises situated1 at the comer of Courtenayplace and! Tory-street,; where a fire had j previously occurred on Sunday evening. The outbreak this i morning occurred in the top floor, occupied by the Wellington Milk Vendors' Association. "The contents were insured in the Liverpool/ London, and Globe Office for £30. The building,. owned by Mrs. M.. O'Neill, and the main portion' of which is occupied by Mr. O. H. Brightwell, a motor dealer, is insured in the Standard Office for £600. The causes of the fires'are unknown; ;
