COMMANDEERING
REBEL SEIZURES IN SOUTH
IRELAND,
(Received July 3, 1 p.m.)
LONDON, 2nd July. The Republicans are seizing provisions and clothing all over -the South. Some shops are so depleted that they have been obliged to close. Scarcely a motorcar is now left with the private traders, and touring cars have been snapped up everywhere. The Republicans have appointed censors in the provincial newspaper offices, and they are mtting out reports of successes of the Free State troops. Official reports from the provinces, however, emphasise that. the trouble is being effectively dealt with.
