■ANNUAL MEETING,

The-annual meeting of the Wellington Bowling Gentie was held last night, when there were present: Messrs. M. J. ■ Hodgins (president), H. (x. Smith, W. H. Morrah, W. Feilding, H. E, Gilbert, W. J. Thompson, P. Meadowcroft, E. J. Hill, J. Muir, A. G. Edwards, and A. Veiteh. Officers were elected as follow:—President., Mr. F. Meadowcroft; vice-presi-dent, Mr. W. H. Morrah; treasurer, Mr. A. G-. Edwards; hon. aiiditor, Mr. E. Liddle; delegates to the Dominion Bowling Association Council, on 15th September next, Messrs. Hodgins and Meadowcroft. It was decided to donate a bonus of 25 guineas to the honorary secretary (Mr. S. H. Underwood) in appreciation of his services during the year. Delegates expressed sincere regret at Mr. Underwood's serious illness. Tributes were paid to the retiring president (Mr. Hodgins), who suitably responded. ■ On the motion of Mr. Meadowcroft, it was decided that in future the annual meeting should not take place until after the annual meetings of clubs. It was only right, he said, that the new council should elect the officers for the year. - The levy of one shilling per member was retained. It was agreed that the centre should supply suitable badges to the executive officers, the president each ysivr to retain the badge. At a subsequent meeting of the executive, it was decided to postpone the election of a secretary until the nest meeting. i
