Under the capable direction of Mr. Jenkinson, the business established in Palmeiston North for many years . and known as ■ the Palmerston North Steam Laundry, ■in Broad-street, has made wonderful advancement. The plant .is a very replete one,-and enables the proprietor to give prompt service and delivery to all work entrusted to him. In order to facilitate the taade, and. as a special convenience to clients, two receiving depots have Deen arranged for—one at 161, Main-street, right opposite the northern end of the railway platform, and another at Mr. Street's store, opposite the Empire Hotel, in Main-street east. The proprietor, recognising the need for promptness in handling, and delivery of'hotel, boarding-house, and private home washing has instituted a motor service in connection with his business; he is therefore ir a position to call- on clients in any part of the town and. district at a ffiw minutes' notice and pick up parcels ol washing, and return the finished article within a very short space of time. The laundry in question is undoubtedly the largest concern of its kind outside the chief cities of the Dominion, and, .besides being up-to-date in every respect is an immense boon to the community in which it is situated. Absolute satisfaction is assured to clients, large and small. The laundry has the agency for the' Victoria Laundry Company, • Limited, of Wellington, for. cleaning, dyeing, and hat blocking, and all orders left there will receive prompt attention.
