PRIMARY PRODUCTS MARKET RATES. ,

The above prices are given for comparative purposes only. The prices f0r,1914 are, as to wool, the official average for purposes of basing values for the Imperial purchases,, and do not include scoured wool or freezing companies' slipes. The Imperial Government's purchase prices are given as supplied by the Imperial Supplies,. Department, and are reduced to decimals, covering the.period December, 1916, to September, 1920; and the latest, prices are those averaged at the last AVellington sale; As to dairy produce, Weddel's, is the authority for the 1914 average prices for the twelve months ended 30th June, 1914. The Imperial purchase prices for both butter and ( cheese rose season by season until the contracts terminated in 1920 as to cheese, in 1921 as to butter; and the current prices are those cabled on Saturday last, when the butter market in Great Britain was very firm and the cheese market steady. The prices for meat are Weddel's averages as to 1914, and Imperial Government's first prices and revised prices respectively; and the latest prices are those received by Press cablegrams. \
