EMPRESS THEATRE,
An exceptional cast interprets "The Truth About Husbands," the Paramount release being shown to interested audiences at the Empress Theatre. " May M'Avoy, a new and dainty screen star, lias the support of Holmes Herbert, Anna Lehr, Arthur ' Rankin, Richard Gordon, and others in the powerful adaptation of Sir Arthur Pinero's drama "The Profligate." There are many tense scenes, while the settings are magnificent. Bebe Daniels, with Emory Johnston and Ruth Renick, points the moral about honesty in. "She Couldn't Help It," the screen version of "In the Bishop's Carriage." Miss Daniels does soniF fine dramatic work. Gaumont Graphic, American Gazette, a travelogue, and a, Mack Sennet comedy complete the programme, which is further enlivened by tuneful selections by Mr. H. G. Avery's Distinctive Orchestra.
