SCHOOL CONCERT.
The Berhampore School Committee hfild a very successful concert in. St. Thomas's Hall, Newtown, on Saturday, the building being pavked. Mr. V. Evans, 8.A., had spent considerable time in training the children, and his efforts were appreciated. The following artists assisted: Misses Ivy Charles, Edna Coulson, . Mirie Brown, Greta Stark, Leila Brown, and Mp»rs. H. E. Wilson, Geonre Peck, W. Prouse, and H. Bindon. The scholars or standard 5 rendered several n.irl. songs, and gave a cantata entitled ' rSoot and the Fniries." arranged by Mr. Evans, Mr. E. T. Bailey (lion, secretary) t.lmnked those who assisted, and pointed out that lie Berhampore School Committee wan endeavouring to raise sufficient funds to put down additional tennis courti.
