OLYMPIC.

The Olympic Harriers held their Byrne Memorial Cup race at Seatoun or Saturday last. The five-mile course was laid by W. Scatchard and E. A. Shaw. Starting from the Seatoun Tea Kiosk, the trail led through the tunnel as far as Scots College, then' branching to the right after skirting the football grounds to the Miramar terminus, where the trail branched to the left as far as the church, over the hill, down past the gasometer, round to the back of the school, and then on to the golf links and along to the fishermen's huts at Lyall Bay- The trail returned over the hill along the straight to Scots College and through the tunnel to the starting point. Forty-five men lined up foT the start. The limit men had five and a-half minutes start, but made very poor use of it, the scratch men. catching them just past the Lyall Bay huts.. They were bunohed together on the return home for a short space, but from the gasometer to the finish it was easily seen that the race was to be fought out between C. Campbell, W. Scatcbard, and K.
